on the open road to new mexico, beautiful girl keeps nodding in and out with her hand over little pea, the small round bump that is now showing beneath her sweater. i have to keep collin meloy pretty low.

we had a string of sunny days here that broke up the biting cold.

those are the warm mornings when you can sit outside at the coffee house and sip in the sunshine. it's been a while since they opened up the huge windows that open to the patio. the bike rack becomes filled. everyone spills out to the sidewalk with dogs and books and laptops and newspapers.

i'm thankful that we are finally moving forward:

we are still "amidst gathering clouds and raging storms," but at least we are beginning to take steps forward.

how to (re)start a blog

step 1: go snowboarding alone and admire trees. remember blogging and how it helped you to look at things differently and made you want to write about 'em.

step 2: become okay with infrequent posts that turn out to be quick little notes.

step 3: make lists in your head of things that you would want to share with the the new beautiful one. (and other peops!)

step 4: write an entry.
